Motor vessel Alliance transported pumice last week. This volcanic rock was shipped form Dordrecht to Krimpen aan den IJssel.

This journey by the Alliance was done using a combination of diesel fuel and HVO. HVO is a sustainable biofuel that reduces CO2 emissions without requiring significant investments. Reducing CO2 emissions is an important issue, and it is becoming increasingly important by the day.

Alliance aims to switch to 100% HVO in the coming months, which would reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%.
