Employee in the spotlight: Anthony Laure
Anthony Laure has been working at Transito France since October 2019. With more than ten years of experience in logistics, he works as a charterer, specialising in the market segment of 1,000-tonne inland vessels. In this role, he advises customers and ship owners, organises transport and maintains commercial relationships.
Anthony describes the atmosphere at Transito as professional but personal: ‘We work hard, but always with collegiality and cooperation.’ This mentality is also reflected in his way of working. Instead of planning trip by trip, he makes plans three weeks in advance. This gives skippers certainty about their turnover, reduces empty sailing and ensures more efficient invoicing and administration.
What appeals to him about Transito is the responsibility and independence. After ten years of experience in logistics, he wanted to take on more responsibility within a dynamic company that focuses on the transport of grain. Customer contact and finding efficient, reliable solutions give him energy every day.
He describes the teamwork as “very strong”, based on trust, open communication and complementing each other’s expertise. He likes to start his working day by reading economic journals, followed by an overview of the day’s priorities and, of course, a good cup of coffee.
